Beth Wall Hanson grows opportunities for USF, like the grapes in her family winery, Bricoleur Vineyards. A seasoned donor, volunteer, and board of trustees member, Hanson has never missed an opportunity to give back. How has USF impacted my life? Well, USF has been part of my whole life. It’s a community, a community that you can get involved in as much as you want or as little as you want. Sometimes you’ll be more involved and sometimes you’ll be less involved. But, it’s also as you go out in the world, you meet people that have heard about USF or gone to USF. So, it gives you a connection and I think we all need a connection. She honors her father, USF alumnus Dr. C Allen Wall with her ongoing financial support for student entrepreneurs. As a business owner and real estate advisor, Hanson keeps the ladder down to elevate the next generation of Jesuit values-based innovators and founders. We developed an event venue that’s part of a winery to host charity events and community events to be more part of the community and bring the community in, create a community spirit. You first start in your own backyard, you contribute, you get involved, you support people around you. This will then ripple out to other organizations and parts of the world. And so that’s what changed the world from here means to me. For fusing the head and the heart, for leaving a legacy for the future and honoring the past, USF honors Elizabeth Wall Hanson with alumna of the year.
